Despite being a relatively newcomer to the espresso machine market, Breville has quickly made their mark through their top-quality machines. This machine is no different and it comes with enough control to let new baristas hone their abilities without spending more than is necessary.

It's not without its quirks however. The hopper is located on the side, not the top of the model. It's not a huge problem, but it could be a hassle if you need to give several shots at a time. The rear position of the tank makes it difficult to determine how much liquid remains.

If you're willing to put in time learning to use the Breville Barista Express then it's an excellent option for any espresso lover at home. The only drawback to the Breville Barista Express is its price which could be a stumbling block for certain buyers.
