Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album is an ode to the classic sextet format, and a more consistent, stronger effort that had a more grittier edge. The more edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the development of the group. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing ability to play was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. Keyboardist David Paich's work was more precise, sharper and less cloned previously recorded efforts.

After touring to promote their album, the group recorded an Amsterdam live show that was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between.
