You can also create a map to clean your home whenever you want. The robot also does well at moving around furniture and can even traverse stairs and rooms that are fully carpeted easily.

I tested the IONXL with our standard test for debris in a family room as well as a kitchen with hardwood floors and area rugs. It did an excellent job vacuuming and removing debris, pet hair, and even some of the more stubborn carpet crumbs. It was also very good at maneuvering around my bar stools and did not bump into them like the iRobot J7+ did during this test. The only downside is that the ION XL can't detect toys, cords or shoes in its path, which means you'll have to pre-clean your house before running this robotic vacuum to stay clear of these items.

The ION XL robotic cleaner isn't as sophisticated as the iRobot j7+, but it's an excellent alternative if you don't need to spend more than $500 on a robot. It's better than the eufy RoboVac 11S, in many ways. It's simpler to maintain and has lower monthly costs. It is also better in vacuuming floors that are not clean and removing pet fur, but it isn't as effective on low- or higher-pile carpet.
